The Surf Shack - KMART CUBBY

Welcome to our SURF SHACK ....

Hire a surf board & oars or cool down with an ice cream served to you by the cutest little boys I ever did see. Ok, ok I may be a little biased but I think they're pretty adorable.

Firstly let me thank my Dad for traveling the 5

hours round trip to hunt down this little baby, I can't believe how popular they are after all the recent adorable mummy hacks, but we finally managed to get our hands on one of these hot little items and that meant mummy and daddy had some work ahead of them.

It's super easy to put together and with hubby helping we had it standing within an hour. It was quiet a challenge to keep this baby hidden from prying eyes but we did it.

Now the details. I had a vision of a beach theme & without spending all the extra $$$$ or at least spending as little as possible.

The paint is just a simple white fence paint from bunnings, now I know some mama's sprayed the house but we choose the old fashioned way, just a plain old paint bush.

We removed the detailing around the windows for more of a beach shack feeling and filled in the screw holes with putty.

The blue accents are spray paint in royal blue.

To really achieve an old beach shack feel we added touches of greenery both in the flower ledges (ikea) and the creeping hedge (Bunnings)

The hanging light is solar powered, and looks so beautiful at night. The light is sourced from Kmart and I removed the power supply cord and replaced it

with a solar powered light soured from Ikea.

To really add to the beach feeling and where my Industrial Design Teacher Hubby really came in super handy was with the creation of the oars and surf boards. The boys LOVE it.

Finally we added the ships bell (Bunnings) and the picture frames (pictures made by mummy).

I hope we have inspired you to create something special and magical for your littles ones.

PS I'd love to see a fairy house hack next!!!!
